There are so many glitzy websites out there today that promise you the ultimate internet marketing model. They all claim a ‘super simple, easy solution that will have you earning in the bucket loads’ that you can purchase for the not-so-low-price of just [name your price here]. The fact is, we are all (at least, at first) looking for an internet marketing model that works, something that we can just plug in our affiliate links and start earning some crazy amounts of money. I’m here to tell you, that no! There is not such thing as an internet marketing model that you can copy, sadly. Well, at least if there is one, I haven’t found it yet.

Do you know the main reason why those polished websites out there don’t make you any money? No matter how good they are at explaining something to you, however fancy their graphics are, the internet marketing model that they give you is not tailored to, oh I don’t know, you. Affiliate marketing is totally different for each and every person that gives it a go. All the great affiliate marketers out there don’t have the same system. They will have similarities, yes, but the fact is that affiliate marketing is a whole different game for each person.

Let me give an example to make these murky waters a little less cloudy. you purchase a $97 product that apparently will be able to teach you exactly how to make money on the internet for free! You say wow! The guide that you’ve bought is gorgeous, it really is. The guide contains a very detailed way of making it easy to article market, and you’re thrilled! Eagerly you put it into action, forget a couple of weeks later, and bye bye $97, plus all the time you spent getting your stuff up and running.

The fact is, in this example you are not given enough creative control over the campaign. No amount of explaining will ever be able to give you the help and support that you need to develop the problem solving skills that you need to become a great affiliate marketers. Not all the top affiliate marketers are very smart (sorry all who are great!) but they do know how to put together a campaign that kicks anything that anyone else could put together.

Yes, learn from the masters. Everyone should do that. Everyone needs somewhere to start, so don’t believe those people that say that they started from nothing. You need to start off with an internet marketing model that doesn’t suck too much. Fact is, you have all you need right between your ears. So stop procrastinating and get earning. You can.

The Not-So-Secret Internet Marketing Model

You may have heard that there is a ‘secret’ internet marketing model out there that you can copy. And there probably is, I’m not disputing that there will be a number of different ‘formulas’ that you can copy and implement and make a ton of money. However… they’re not so secret. Many of the top affiliates have an internet marketing model, a formula that they use in order to get maximum results, quickly.

These guys did not buy this internet marketing model from anyone however. They came up with it themselves, through trial and error, by seeing what worked, and what didn’t. Affiliate marketing is not an art, it is a science, and this is the reason that so many people are out there looking for a formula today. Erm, no. I could buy an ebook today and be no better off then when I didn’t have that ebook or guide. The proper places to discover an internet marketing model are the ones that teach to you discover, find stuff out and work out what works for yourself.

I understand that this is a very scary thought for a lot of people. You don’t want to waste time fluffing around trying to figure out something that you want to know now! You simply want a formula, an internet marketing model that you can copy right now, start plugging in a little information perhaps (you’ll put that much in) and start getting massive results out.

It doesn’t work like that.

Look, if there was an internet marketing model out there that people could simply copy and paste directly into their campaigns, everyone would be driving the car of their dreams, living in a mansion and generally sipping martinis on the beach in the Caribbean.

It doesn’t work like that.

You see, I know a lot of internet marketers over the internet, and the one thing that they all do very hard is work! They are addicted to it, it is like a game for them, trying to hit the jackpot, trying to increase conversion rates, going berserk with their tactics giving it everything that they have got… and you know what? It works!

There is a chap on the internet, calling himself ‘The Rich Jerk’, you may have heard of him. His product sells by the thousand, and he has worked up quite a name for himself. Would I recommend his product? No. But his marketing is so good that I simply had to try it.

The fact is, The Rich Jerk puts an image in out minds of lazy money, it gives us the impression of affiliate marketers who lounge around in million dollar yachts and cruise around all day.

The reality would shock you.

Ordinary people doing extraordinary things on the internet (apologies for the bad movie style tagline).

The fact is, 96% of people who begin affiliate marketing will quit. They are after the ultimate internet marketing model, when they don’t understand that it is up to them to create the one that is right for them. And many people don’t want that reality.

A Free Internet Marketing Model

The following is an internet marketing model for free techniques, such as article marketing and search engine optimization. If you’ve read some of my other articles, you’ll know that I am quite strongly against internet marketing models, because I believe that it is different for everyone. I know a lady who makes most of her online income from Squidoo, and totally free techniques. I know some others that are all for building up just a couple of campaigns really well, and others that prefer to focus around making a number of different campaigns. Regardless, an internet marketing model is something that you should be coming up with.

Anyway, let us get into a template that I quite like to use, and many other affiliate marketers look to this technique as well for some guidance.

If you are going to be promoting affiliate products then you are going to need a website. People perhaps don’t say that you don’t – I do. Come on, it’s all of about ten dollars a month. If you can’t even afford that, then please go and make some money before trying something like this.

You can install WordPress on the website in order to create a beautiful site. It’s not hard, and even though it gets a little technical, it should be fairly easy. Can I just point something out here. You may have noticed that the tone of this article is a little brisk. This doesn’t mean that I’m not here to help you, but that I might be a little more blunt then normal. Please do not waste your time if you don’t have a general idea of computers and the internet. This does not mean that you need to be a geek like me, but at least know how to operate a website, and navigate reasonably easily. I often get messages from people who ‘don’t even know how to turn on a computer’, and I just think ‘well!’ Get a little experience first, please.

Next, it’s time to write the content. Keep it simple, and while it’s beyond the scope of this article, keep the content exciting, marketing-style and get your affiliate links in there.

Now, it’s time to write some articles! Your articles should be between three hundred and and six hundred words, and based around the topic that you are promoting to. So if you are promoting to bridesmaids wanting to lose some weight before the big day, make sure the article is about that. Include the link to your website in the resource box, and submit to some article directories.

And then rinse and repeat many more times. The sheer volume internet marketing model will work.

So there we are. Not the greatest internet marketing model in the world, but it works. This is the backbone of my campaigns, and of countless others. So, stop looking for the greatest internet marketing model that you can buy, and start marketing yourself. You’ll be surprised at what you can achieve.

10 Quick Tips For Marketing Your Website Effectively

Marketing your website properly is just as important (if not more important) as having a properly designed and developed website. In today’s digital world, having a website that works to increase revenue and sales is crucial, especially in a time where a nonexistent (or outdated) website could cost your company hundreds, thousands, or tens of thousands of dollars in lost sales. It’s a necessity to have a marketing strategy in line with the goals of your company or organization, and in order to increase traffic and revenue at your website, it will take a heavy dose of effort to get your website where you want it. Use these tips below, and continue to research the world of internet marketing, there’s much left to be learned!

Without further ado, here’s 10 quick tips for marketing your website effectively… 1.) Make a BIG deal out of the launch of your website! You should be proud of your new site, and use this as a tool to contact your customers to let them know things are changing, and for the better. Market the new features your site will have both online and offline, and let it be known that you’ve invested in yourself.

2.) Start a subscription-based newsletter. Every company, in my opinion, should have some sort of informative newsletter. Your newsletter should be published on a set schedule, but only one that you can maintain. Ideally, your newsletters should contain informative articles. You don’t need too much content, but the content you have should be eye-catching, easy to read, and something that people want to see. If you bore your customers with your newsletter, you won’t be helping to market your website. Create a newsletter that compels people to do something… write a how-to on something related to your industry, or a top 10 tips that people might find interest in (wink, wink).

3.) Add your website to your company’s voicemail message. Even if it’s something along the lines of, “Leave us a message, or contact us on the web at www-dot-yourwebsitehere-dot-com. Are you seeing a trend here? It’s important to TALK about your website, and if you have something people want to see (which you should with that fancy site of yours!), your work will pay off.

4.) Put your website on your company building’s sign. This one’s sort of a no-brainer, but what better of a way to get people to scope out your company in the comfort of their own home. People driving by will remember your address, especially if you have an eye-catching sign, and make your website large enough and easy to read from a distance.

5.) Tell Google when you’ve got new content… Take this tip straight from Google themselves, “If your site is very new, we may not know about it yet. Tell Google about your site. One way to expedite Google’s discovery of new pages is to submit a Sitemap. Even if your site is already in the index, Sitemaps are a great way to tell Google about the pages you consider most important.” If you aren’t sure if your site has a sitemap indexed with Google, or you’d like help building your sitemap and properly publishing it, contact your web developer.

6.) Use an email signature in your correspondences, and make sure that a link to your website is in it. Not only will this provide for an easy way for your customers (or potential customers) to find your site, but it will also allow for an easy portal for them to visit you.

7.) Yes, your website is up and running, but now how are people going to find it? Many companies build a website and forget about it… YIKES! Use social networking websites like Facebook and Twitter to broadcast your website to those you are in contact with. For small businesses and startups, word of mouth can be the difference between success and failure!

8.) Advertising your site offline is equally important as advertising your site online. Make sure your web address is in your literature and publications (business cards, corporate branding material, fax cover sheets, etc.)

9.) Update your website AT LEAST once a month. I would say less than once a week is too little, but it’s important to keep your content fresh, especially if you have an informational site.

10.) Make sure that your website is built with valid code (to check it, go here: http://validator.w3.org/ ), your meta tags are properly used, and each page has a proper title. Consult your web developer about these items, as they are all important for your website to have.

Realize that the key to successfully marketing your website is a never-ending, integral process that you NEED to do. Take the time to properly work on the items above, and dedicate yourself to doing it right. You just invested in your website, right? Niche Marketing Strategy Profitable Niches – Choosing Them And Launching Profitable Campaigns

Niche marketing has become very popular among many online entrepreneurs. Deciding to go into niche marketing is the easy part. Selecting profitable niche topics, promoting high traffic to the website, and generating sales requires some work. Many factors come into play when you begin your niche marketing strategy.

There are varying opinions on how to determine if a niche is profitable or not. That is completely understandable. I have criteria I use when choosing niche market topics. I’m sure there other marketers out there who have their own way of choosing their niche themes as well.

1. Passionate and Knowledgeable Topics

I can write plenty of articles quickly and easily on topics I am passionate and knowledgeable about. That is an important deciding factor when I am choosing a niche. In order to perform exceptional article marketing, I will need articles created on a regular basis.

I can pay a copywriter or ghostwriter to write them for me, or write them myself. If I am to write them myself, it will be much easier if I have an interest in, and know something about, the niche theme.

2. Sufficient Keywords and Content Launch

In order to write an ongoing arsenal of articles for my marketing campaign, I’ll need profitable keywords for each on and off site article. I do not want a simple list of a few keywords. I need a tactical and lengthy list of profitable keywords.

I create an article targeted keyword list by doing a drill-down into the core of the niche. It is time consuming, but well worth the effort it takes to produce a 15-25 page list of keywords. I build on the list on a regular basis, adding new keywords as they surface. This list provides keywords for article creation that I can use not only once, but repeatedly throughout my campaign.

The campaign is never-ending. In order to achieve maximum traffic and top-level ranking, my article marketing campaign will continue on a daily, weekly, monthly, and yearly basis. Consistent marketing strategy is what achieves the highest levels of traffic.

3. Strategy Testing and Site Originality

I do not believe in producing “cookie cutter” websites. My marketing strategy is an ongoing study of various techniques across multiple websites, studying to see which implementations produce the best results.

Every website should contain some sense of originality, a uniqueness that sets it apart from other websites. There is already enough duplication and mimicking on the worldwide web. I want each of my websites to have a personality all its own. I want my websites branded with their own unique designs.

4. Implementation and Development

The end product(s) must be developed and of high quality. The website has to be designed, launched, and fully tested. There is a lot of detailed work that goes into the back-end of the site launch.

5. The Marketing Campaign

Armed with a niche topic, research, the end product(s), a fully tested and launched website, and a bountiful list of keywords, I launch my campaign. All of this takes dedication and time. The niche marketing strategy to isolate a topic is a very small piece of a very large pie.
